It's finally springtime in Chicago, which means the season of bar-b-ques, beach days and picnics is in full swing! And as the days grow hotter, you'll surely be in need of some refreshing beverages and sweet treats. To celebrate Memorial Day, we made these darling strawberry, banana and blueberry skewers and paired them with a bubbly fruit punch cocktail. Coupled with festive red, white and blue accessories, our outdoor spread was the perfect way to enjoy the extended holiday weekend!
Flowers are budding, birds are chirping and spring has arrived in Chicago! We love that this gorgeous time of year falls around one of our favorite holidays to celebrate: Mother's Day. While appreciation for any parent should be given every day of the year, we like to show our Moms a little extra love on this special day!
Treat yours to something beautiful, like this Margaret Elizabeth necklace or Mar Y Sol clutch. For the Mom whose kitchen is her sanctuary, we adore this gold mug and Rifle Paper Co's newest recipe box. And if all she needs is a little relaxation, we think this scented Illume candle and coffee table book will do the trick. For more ideas, take a look at our Mother's Day gift guide and use our code ILOVEMOM to receive 15% off all online orders until May 8th.
If nothing else, we know that every Mom would appreciate a heartfelt note. Happy Mother's Day, Moms!
All you need is love... and snail mail to spread it around! Beth has been sending out Valentine's Day cards for over ten years. While her family loves receiving traditional holiday cards, there is so much going on during that time of year, she finds it easier to send Valentine wishes every February. Not only does Beth appreciate the message of love and friendship, but she likes to send playful cards during the dreary winter months. They are such a big hit with friends and family that Beth has even started receiving Valentine's Day cards from other families in recent years.
This year Beth knew she wanted to highlight a picture of her three children on the front, incorporate a heart and use metallic gold ink to make it feel extra special. Our in-house designer quickly thought of the well known Beatles song and got to work! We love the cheerfulness of the oversized text and bright colors, especially the glitter liner. Sure, some might find Valentine's Day a little mushy or cheesy, but that's what makes them fun!
It was such a pleasure working with Kelly and Luke on these holiday themed save the dates. Luke proposed to Kelly in early September, on what the bride-to-be thought was just another normal Monday night! Shortly after, they settled on a date and place for their wedding: Labor Day Weekend 2016 at Camp Canadensis in Pennsylvania. They wanted to send them out over the holidays, so we incorporated festive greens, whites, and pops of red for their color palette. Our in-house designer created a drawing of a log cabin nestled between trees and stars to allude to the wedding location, as their guests will be staying on the campgrounds for the weekend. Kelly was thrilled with the way their save the dates turned out and we personally can't wait to see what this fun-loving couple will do for their invitations!

We couldn't agree more, so to celebrate the new season, we've rounded up all of our autumn must haves. Skip the pumpkin patch and keep all the outdoor scents by lighting a Pumpkin Peppercorn or Woodfire candle from Illume. Both scents will have you racing to roast marshmallows over an open fire. And no home is cool-weather ready without Nest's Pumpkin Chai hand soap and reed diffuser. Bring on the sweaters, boots and pumpkin spice lattes- we're ready!
